Employees can then display their badges on their profile, showcasing their achievements and contributions to the company.

Holopin Integration with Slack

Integrating Holopin with Slack is simple and straightforward. Once the integration is set up, employees can give and receive badges without leaving the Slack platform. You can interact with the integration through commands, which can be called in two different ways; by mentioning the Holopin integration, and then writing the name of the commands and then the arguments, or by typing / and selecting the command from the autocomplete menu and filling the arguments. There are three main commands.

/badge

The /badge command allows you to award a badge to someone. You'll need to have created a badge alias through the Holopin integration's Home tab before you can use this.

To use, type badge as the command name with the invocation method of your choice, and follow it with a mention of the recipient and the alias of the badge you want to award.

For example, if I wanted to award the Awesome badge to aidan, and I've already setup the awesome badge alias for the Awesome badge, I would type /badge @aidan awesome, or @Holopin badge @aidan awesome if I wanted to use the other method.

/holobyte

The /holobyte command allows you to award someone a Holobyte. You can set a default icon to use if one isn't passed in the Home tab, but that isn't required.

To use, type holobyte as the command name with the invocation method of your choice, and follow it with a mention of the recipient and the icon you want to use.

For example, if I wanted to award a cherry Holobyte to aidan, I would type /holobyte @aidan cherry,or simply /holobyte @aidan if I've already set cherry as my default Holobyte.

/evolvingbadge

Evolving badges are a type of badge that evolves with the employee as they recieve more of them. They're a great way of encouraging progress and rewarding employees for their hard work.

To use, type evolvingbadge as the command name, and follow it with a mention of the recipient and the alias of the evolving badge you want to award.

For example, if I wanted to award the Awesome evolving badge to aidan, and I've already setup the awesome evolving badge alias for the Awesome evolving badge, I would type /evolvingbadge @aidan awesome.
